About Dr. Tinder

ABOUT DR. TINDER:

Dr. Tinder has been a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas since 2009. She received her bachelors of science degree in psychology, as well as her master’s degree and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from University of Houston. As a part of her training in clinical psychology, Dr. Tinder completed an internship with Baylor College of Medicine, Menninger Department of Psychiatry, rotating through Ben Taub General Hospital, Baylor Psychiatry Clinic, and DePelchin Children’s Center, with a focus on the assessment and treatment of adults and children. Dr. Tinder completed her postdoctoral training at DePelchin Children’s Center, where she later became employed as a staff psychologist. Dr. Tinder started her private practice in 2014, providing therapy, forensic psychological evaluations, child custody evaluations, and expert witness testimony. She provides work product reviews of other mental health professionals, as well as behind-the-scenes consulting to attorneys for litigation support. Dr. Tinder presents at local, state, and national conferences for mental health professionals and family law attorneys.

In addition to being licensed in Texas (#34305), Dr. Tinder participates in PSYPACT, an interstate compact, allows her to provide services in over 30 other states that are a part of PSYPACT.  Dr. Tinder has an E.Passport and an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) through the PSYPACT program coordinated by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB). The E.Passport and APIT allows Dr. Tinder to do two things: (1) she can practice telepsychology from the Psychologist’s Home State to any state registered in the PSYPACT compact; and (2) she can practice psychology face-to-face for up to 30 days in any of the compact states.  Possible services include clinical evaluations and psychotherapy, forensic evaluations (including child custody / parenting time evaluations), and expert consultation services.
